Meet Chris, Managing HSE Advisor

Chris Franklin, Managing HSE Advisor, EB Safety Group

Reflecting on the past year, it's safe to say that a lot has happened since I joined the EB Safety Group team in February of 2022. As someone who came from one of the Big National House Builders, my goal was to bring my experience of construction and modern practices to the industry and implement these practices across all levels.

With my background in heading up health and safety departments, setting up systems, undertaking site inspections, and even training as a boat builder, I was fortunate to inherit a great team at EB Safety Group. Together, we have worked hard to improve various aspects of the company, some of which are visible, such as branding and website inspections, while others are not as visible, like the implementation of new systems and processes.

Our primary focus has been on building upon the strong foundations of the company, which has been in existence for over 30 years as EB Safety Group and over 50 years in previous versions of the safety groups. Our goal is to get the company ready for the next 30 years by improving site inspections and making them more user-friendly. With these improvements, we can gain a better understanding of what's happening in the industry and pass this information onto our members. By doing so, we're giving our members the ownership that they haven't always had and ensuring that they receive a 21st-century service that's fit for the construction industry.

We've also added new members to our team, bolstering the service that our members receive. We're excited about the next phase in our history and the potential opportunities and challenges that come with it. But with a great team and support, we're confident that we can tackle any obstacle head-on and come out smiling.

In conclusion, the past year has been a year of change and improvement for EB Safety Group. We've made strides in improving our service to members and getting the company ready for the future. With our team's dedication and hard work, we're confident that we'll continue to provide our members with the service they deserve and meet any challenges that come our way.
